The Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape lies in central Mongolia, approximately 360 km southwest of Ulaanbaatar, along the Orkhon River, which is Mongolia's longest river at 1,124 km, flowing northward into Lake Baikal in Russia
The site, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004, covers 121,967 hectares of grassland along the river and includes a buffer zone of 61,044 hectares. It is recognized for illustrating over two millennia of nomadic pastoralism and the evolution of successive steppe empires, serving as a crossroads of civilizations linking East and West across Eurasia.

TSAGAAN SUVARGA
Commonly known as the White Stupa, is a striking natural geological formation located in the Ulziit soum of Dundgovi Province in southern Mongolia, within the Gobi Desert
We pass through Dalanzadgad city, the capital of Umnugovi province and often called the capital of the Gobi. This city has grown rapidly in recent years, as the nearby Oyu Tolgoi mine, one of the world’s largest gold and copper deposits operated by Rio Tinto, has attracted many people to settle and work in the region.
Arrival at Tsagaan Suvarga cliffs in the afternoon, where we take time to explore the striking white formations sculpted by wind and time. We enjoy panoramic views and take in the remarkable colors of this natural wonder, especially breathtaking at sunset.
